SUN VALLEY COMMUNITY WORKSHOP

The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County (RTC) is hosting a neighborhood meeting to share information with the residents and businesses in Sun Valley located in the general vicinity of the proposed US 395 Connector that is included in the Pyramid Highway/US 395 Connection Study.

When and Where:

Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from
4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Truckee Meadows Community College, Dandini Campus
7000 Dandini Blvd., Reno, NV 89512 (RTC RIDE Route 15)

This meeting is a continuation of public outreach to residents in Sun Valley as the RTC nears completion of its study of long-term regional transportation improvements along the Pyramid Highway corridor that includes improving east/west connections between Sparks, Sun Valley and US 395.  Alternatives include a freeway from Pyramid to US 395 that would cross Sun Valley Boulevard between El Rancho Boulevard and 1st Avenue in lower Sun Valley.

In addition to RTC staff and the consultants who are working on the study, representatives from the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will also be at the meeting to discuss the alternatives, answer questions and receive public input. There will be a brief presentation at 5:30 pm that will include general information pertaining to property acquisition and relocation services associated with federally funded public transportation projects.
